Bernice Anderson

Services for Bernice Anderson, 89, were Friday, Jan. 12, 2001 at 11 a.m. from the United Methodist Church, Centuria, with Pastor Tim Albrecht officiating.

Soloist was Amy Lauck (great-granddaughter) and organist, Jane Johnson.

Casketbearers were grandsons, Craig Carlson, James Lauck II, James Lauck III, Jeff C. Lauck, Jeff R. Lauck, Justin Lauck, Kevin Krumm and Tom Ramberg.

Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park. Rowe Funeral Home, Centuria, was in charge of arrangements.

Bernice Lucille Anderson, daughter of William L. and Hilma (Blomst) Stone, was born July 30, 1911, in Balsam Lake, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and served with the Ladies Aid.

On Feb. 1, 1930, she was married to Clarence Q. Anderson at Balsam Lake. The couple settled on the home farm at Deer Park and three daughters were born.

In 1956 they move to a smaller farm in rural Amery and she worked at Alcan Manufacturing, Centuria, from 1956-1976. In 1971 they moved to Centuria.

She was a resident of Golden Age Manor from 1992 until her death on Jan. 8, 2001.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Clarence; sisters, Elsie Gehrke, Vivadale Boeris, Letha Eklum, Lela Hahn and Norma Nelson; and brothers, William II and Alfred Stone.

She is survived by three daughters; Elois (James) Lauck of Deer Park, Lucille (Winston) Carlson of Salem, Ore., and Norma (Bernard) Hammelman of Amery; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Priscilla (Otto) Nelson of St Croix Falls.
