A resident of the New Richmond area since 1900, Albert F. Bethke passed away Tuesday Oct. 7 (1958) in Holy Family hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks..
A son of Christian and Christina (Walter) Bethke, he came to New Richmond from Dodge county, Wisconsin, and since his retirement from active farming 13 years ago had made his home here.
Mr. Bethke was married Dec. 10, 1912 to Freda Weiss, who survives him with their two daughters, Irene (Mrs. Raymond Krueger) of Deer Park, and Hilda (Mrs. Theodore Readel) of St. Paul, and three sons, Arthur W. Bethke, Anchorage, Alaska, Christian A. Bethke of New Richmond, and Fred J. Bethke of St. Paul. There are 8 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Beebe Chapel after 3 o'clock today (Thursday) and until noon on Friday. Funeral services for Mr. Bethke will be held at 2 o'clock Friday, Oct. 10 in St. Luke's Lutheran church, Rev. R. W. Goetsch officiating. The body will lie in state at the church for an hour preceding the service. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery in Deer Park.
