NICK ERKENEFF
February 24, 1943 - March 20, 2013

Nick Charles Erkeneff, age 70, of Deer Park, Wis., passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond, WI.

He was born on February 24, 1943 in Grand Rapids, MN to Pete and Mary (Carmazon) Erkeneff. He was raised in and attended school in the Grand Rapids area. After school he joined the US Air Force and returned home after completing his service. Nick then moved to Wisconsin in the early 1970's to take a job with Doboy. While living in Wisconsin, he met Sheila Koehler and they were united in marriage. To this union two children were born and the family made their home in the Deer Park area. Their marriage would later dissolve and Nick would continue to live in Deer Park and work for Doboy until his retirement.

Nick loved being in the outdoors spending time hunting and fishing, especially ice fishing and enjoyed splitting wood. He had many interests and enjoyed making homemade wine and hunting knives. He also loved motorcycles, especially Harleys. Nick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Rodney. He is survived by his son, Andy (Sara) Erkeneff of Austin, MN; daughter, Stacy (Luke Hanson) Erkeneff of Rose Creek, MN; grandchildren, Braden, Kaylen, Brody and Brett; brother, Peter (Edith) Erkeneff of Lakeland, FL; two neices and many other loving relatives and friends. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.

Williamson-White Funeral Home and Cremation Services were in charge of arrangements.
