LORNE FANSLER
September 5, 1924 - May 23, 2006

Mass of Christian burial for Lorne Fansler, 81, was Friday, May 26, at 10:30 a.m.at St. Joseph Catholic church with the Rev. John Drummy officiating. Deacon Larry Bauer and Deacon Bud Heiser assisted.

The St. Joseph choir sang with Arlene Dado as organist.

Interment of cremains will be at the Amery Cemetery. Williamson Funeral Home, Amery, assisted the family.

Lorne Fansler was born on September 5, 1924 in Glenwood City, the son of Percy and Clara (Spaeth) Fansler. He spent his early years in Glenwood City and attended school there.

He spent most of his life as a heavy equipment operator and worked in many locations.

On September 10, 1946, he was married to Verna M. Poeschl and two children were born.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church in Amery and was a member of Local 139.

He was able to remain at home until just a few days before his death at Willow Ridge, Amery, on Tuesday, May 23, 2006.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vernie; and brother, Doug Fansler.

Survivors include his son, Craig Fansler; daughter, Debbie Congdon; sisters, Lorraine Pierson and Dalores Haroldson; three grandchildren.
