MARGARET "MUGS" SETTER GROSSMAN
(May 18, 1909 - September 6, 2002)

Margaret "Mugs" Grossman was born May 18, 1909 to Paul and Nettie (Elden) Setter at the family farm in Deer Park, the eighth child in a family of eight boys and four girls. She died September 6, 2002, at the Brentwood Retirement Home in Lecants, Florida.

She attended Lakeside rural school and was confirmed at the Deer Park Methodist Church. She graduated from the New Richmond High School as salutatorian, then worked at the Deer Park Bank. Later she moved to Minneapolis to work in the office of Honeywell.

Her sisters, Mae and Nette, also worked in the cities and they came home many weekends to cook and clean and collect eggs and produce to take back to their apartment. They also organized family birthday parties, Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas events and holiday celebrations.

In 1949 she married Harry Grossman who also worked for Honeywell as a sales manager. They lived in Bethesda, Md., then retired to Citrus Springs, Fla. They enjoyed golf and playing bridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Mae Knerr and Agnes Setter; brothers, Prescott (Edda), Nels, Lincoln (Viola), Lloyd (Helen), Ray (Edna) and Wallace (Irene).

She is survived by a step-daughter, Phyllis Grossman; brothers, Vernon (Ariel) and Russell (Edith) of Deer Park; sister Nette (Al) Lundeen of Fargo; sisters-in-law, Irene Setter and Edna Setter of Deer Park; many nieces and nephews. Her ashes were scattered in the Gulf of Mexico.
