Louise V. Hemauer

Louise Verona Hemauer, 82, of New Richmond died Friday, Dec. 20 at United Hospital in St. Paul. She was born the daughter of Christian and Caroline (Zurbruegg) Abbuehl on Jan. 10, 1920 in Clear Lake. On Oct. 30, 1940 Louise married Arnold James Hemauer in Rice Lake. The couple lived and farmed in Deer Park until moving to New Richmond in 1980.

Louise belonged to the Happy Homemakers club. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center and attending Church. Louise treasured her friends. She loved to bake and worked for awhile as a baker and a cook at the Four Corners.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents; husband Arnold; brothers, Fred, Theodore, Adolph, Edward, and Ernest; sisters, Clara Newville, Johanna Emerson, Olga Abbuehl, and Hulda Rasmussen.

She is survived by her sons, James (Dolly), Thomas E. (Barbara) all of Deer Park; daughter, Janice (Roland) Thompson of Deer Park; eight granchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ida Abbuehl of New Richmond.

The funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 23 at United Methodist Church in New Richmond. Pastor Allan George officiated the service. Music was provided by Kathy Stelter accompanied by Jeri Rang. Visitation was held on Sunday, Dec. 22nd at Beebe Mortuary and also one hour prior to the service.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park with Joe Ailts, Chris Ailts, Matthew Sprester, Tommy Sprester, Dillon Thompson, Cody Leavens, Mitchell Thompson and Alex Novak as the casketbearers. Honorary casketbearers were Austin Novak, Cristian Johnson, Sam Johnson, Nathan Thompson, and Riley Johnson. Arrangements were with Beebe Mortuary.
