Lloyd B. Johnson

Lloyd B. Johnson of New Richmond passed away on January 27, 2000 at the United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. He was 69 years old.

Lloyd was born in Alden Township on April 6, 1930 to Eddie and Petra (Orner) Johnson. He married Jean Anne Jasperson on June 3, 1950 in Stillwater, Minn.

Lloyd worked at the Ford Assembly Plant in St. Paul and also operated the Johnson's Fix-It-Shop in New Richmond.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Helmer.

He is survived by his wife, Jean of New Richmond; three sons, Ken (Gail) Johnson of Deer Park, Dennis Johnson of Las Vegas. Nev., and Darrel (Carole) Johnson of New Richmond; three daughters, Pam (Gary) York of Reeve, Kathy (Don) Morris of Hibbing, Minn., and Renee (Mike) Boucher of Boardman; brother, Pery (Marge) Johnson of Dresser; four sisters, Elsie (Marsh) Anderson of St. Paul, Minn., Fern (Lorne) Gust of Oregon, Ilene (Bruce) Learn of Bloomington, Minn., and Joyce (LaVern) Olson of New Richmond; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on January 30 at the Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond. Funeral services were held on January 31 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in New Richmond, with Rev. John W. Schenck officiating. Organist was Karen Volkert and soloist was Richard Dietrich. Active casketbearers were Shawn and Derrick Johnson, Mickey York, Chris Morris, Dan Hoogheem and Richard Moe. Honorary casketbearers were Lloyd's remaining grandchildren and their spouses. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park. Memorials to the National Brain Tumor Foundation are preferred. Arrangements were made by Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
