MAYTA LOUELLA JORGENSON
December 23, 1915 - December 26, 2004

Mayta Louella Jorgenson, 89, was born on December 23, 1915 on a farm in Sauk Rapids, Minn., the daughter of Carl and Emma Wittstock.

She moved with the Wittstock family to Forest, and she attended rural school in Forest. She was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Forest.

On September 21, 1949 she married Warren Eugene Jorgenson and to this union a son David was born in 1951 and a son Steven was born in 1955. She worked at the State Bank of Deer Park and was working the day of the train derailment when the bank was robbed. Mayta died at Golden Age Manor in Amery December 26, 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and four sisters; sons, David and Steven; and grandson, Andrew.

Left to mourn are her husband, Warren; daughter-in-law, Konny Jorgenson Borchers of Amery; granddaughter, Emily (John) Borchers of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Ernie (Mildred) Wittstock of New Richmond, Carl Wittstock of Arbello, Mo.; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 29 at East Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Amery with Revs. Loren and Linda Schumacher officiating. Vocalists were Lou and Kathy Williamson. Organist was Jane Johnson. Casketbearers were Gary Hagen, Jerol Johnson, Les Markee, Keith Anderson, Terry Kolstad, and Kevin Solum. Interment was at East Immanuel Cemetery.

Arrangements were with the Williamson Funeral Home in Amery.

Services for Mayta Jorgenson, 89, were Wednesday, December 29, at 11 a.m. at East Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Amery, with the Revs. Loren and Linda Schumacher officiating. Vocalists were Lou and Kathy Williamson and organist, Jane Johnson.

Casketbearers were Gary Hagen, Jerol Johnson, Les Markee, Keith Anderson, Terry Kolstad and Kevin Solum.

Interment was at East Immanuel Cemetery with arrangements by Williamson Funeral Home, Amery.
