LOUISE MARIE KNUTSON
January 4, 1940 - April 13, 2007

Louise Marie Knutson was born on January 4, 1940 in Deer Park, Wisconsin the daughter of Victor and Catherine (Schumacher) Olson. She grew up in Deer Park and was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church. On April 14, 1961 she was united in marriage to Wayne D. Knutson and to this union three children were born. They made their home in Alden Township where they farmed together for many years. She was active in homemakers, Prairieview Covenant Church and Alanon. Louise was a great cook and baker. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting as well. She died in the Emergency Room of Amery Regional Medical Center on Friday, April 13, 2007 at the age of 67 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, brother John Olson, sisters: Alberta Johnson, Victoria Bottolfson, Virginia Olson and Maxine Monti.

Left to mourn are her son Durwin Knutson; daughters: Pauline Aleshire and Charlene Knutson; brother Ray Olson; sisters: Arlene Rosenow, Phoebe Payson and Alice Larson. She also leaves six grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday April 19, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Prairieview Covenant Church in rural New Richmond with Pastor Rudy King officiating. Soloist was Lisa Lind. Organist was Florence Moore. Casketbearers were: David Larson, Jim Vorwald, David Knutson, Ron Olson, Justin Larson and Christy Pederson. Honorary casketbearers were her grandchildren: Bethany Aleshire, Brock Aleshire, Jessica Knutson, Jonathan Knutson, Jeremiah Knutson and Jadyn Knutson. Interment was at the West Immanuel Cemetery. The Williamson Funeral Home in Amery assisted the family with arrangements.
