GERHARD B. KROGH
April 19, 1937 - March 31, 2009

Funeral services for Gerhard B. Krogh, 71, were Monday, April 6, 2009 at First Lutheran Church, Amery, with Pastor Tim Borge officiating.

Jon Buss was soloist, accompanied by organist Julie Selle.

Casketbearers were Bob Anthony, Larry Phillipson, Darrel Moe, Barry Wold, Dave Waterman, Lowell Aasmundrud and Kevin Zimmerman.

Interment was at the East Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the VFW and American Legion from Amery.

Williamson-White Funeral Home and Cremation Services assisted the family with arrangements.

Gerhard B. Krogh was born April 19, 1937, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Oscar and Bertha Krogh. He was baptized at St. Luke's Church in Minneapolis.

His family moved to rural Deer Park and he was confirmed at East Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Amery in 1951. He attended school in Amery and graduated from high school in 1955.

He married Kathleen Ann Taylor on June 16, 1962, and four children were born.

He was enlisted in the U.S.Army in May of 1963 and served until April 1965.

He returned to rural Deer Park and farmed with his father. Besides farming, he also worked at Bellanca Aircraft, Osceola, for many years.

He belonged to the Jersey Association and was a member of First Lutheran Church, Amery.

He was a resident of the Golden Living Center, Stillwater, Minn., and died there on Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Kathleen, and his parents.

Survivors include his daughters, Karmen Dresser, Karon Krogh, Connie (Dave) Wald and Carrie (Eric) Wenger; brother, Curtis (Jaci) Krogh; sisters, Barb Zimmerman and Carol Sabol; and 12 grandchildren.
