Irene A. Krueger

Irene A. Krueger, 88, of Deer Park died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001 at the Maple Manor Healthcare Center in New Richmond. She was born in Stanton Township Dec. 5, 1913 to Albert and Freda (Weiss) Bethke.

Irene married Raymond A. Krueger April 26, 1941 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park. She will be remembered for her sewing, raising chickens, her fondness for gardening and fishing, and her love of family and life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ray. She is survived by her son Chuck (Chris) Krueger of Hatley, Wis.; her daughter, Ilene (Harland) Zielsdorf of Deer Park; three brothers, Arthur (Mildred) Bethke of Anchorage, Alas., Chris (Loretta) Bethke of New Richmond, Fred (Shirley) Bethke of St. Paul, Minn.; sister Hilda (Ted ) Readel of St. Paul; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 26 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park with Rev. Timothy Coppersmith officiating. Organist was Cindy Nelson and soloist was David Swanson.

Casketbearers were Gary Bethke, Steve Bethke, Tom Krueger, Robert Krueger, Gene Readel, and Warren Henke. Irene's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were honorary casketbearers. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
