Mr. Luehmann had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran church of Star Prairie ever since he came here, and was a regular attendant at services and Holy Communion. He also served as elder of the congregation for quite a number of years, having been reelected for another three-year term only a year ago. His whole life bore evidence that he was a believing Christian who sought first of all the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. This also was evident, after his illness was diagnosed as cancer and declared incurable by the physicians about six weeks ago. He willingly submitted to the will of God, set his house in order and awaited his end without fear in the assurance of his faith in his Savior. Sonner than expected his death came Wednesday morning, Jan. 13. He leaves behind, mourning him, his wife, three brothers, three sisters and other near relatives. He had no children. His age was 55 years, 5 months and 25 days.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. at his home, and at 2 o'clock Saturday, Jan. 16, at Immanuel Lutheran church by Rev. O. W. C. Boettcher, and interment took place in Calvary cemetery, Deer Park. Mrs. Boettcher was organist. Floyd Madson sang "The Lord's Prayer," and "Be Still My Soul."
