Elvina Mork

Services for Elvina Mork, 89, were Monday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Deer Park, with the Rev. Tim Coppersmith officiating.

Vocalist was Burt Kulzer and organist was Jeanine Carlson.

Casketbearers were Raymond Mork, Alan Miller, James Mork, Clifford Amundson, Eugene Eldon and Ronald Miller.

Interment was at the Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, with the Williamson Funeral Home of Amery in charge.

Elvina Mork was born on Jan. 11, 1912, in Horse Creek, the daughter of Albert and Clara Olson.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. She grew up in Horse Creek and attended rural school.

On Nov. 25, 1934, she was married to Donald W. Mork in Frederic and two children were born.

They spent most of their married life in the Amery area.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church for many years.

She was able to live independently until the last few days of her life. She was hospitalized at Amery Regional Medical Center for a few days following a fall at home. She died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2001.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald;  grandson, Kermit Thompson, Jr.; brothers, Raymond and Arnold; sisters, Rosella Eldon, Betsy Mork and Olda Kulzer.

Survivors include a son, Wayne (Darlene) Mork of Montello; daughter, Gloria (Kermit) Thompson of Deer Park; sister, Celia Miller of Hammond; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
