Wilma Neitge

Services for Wilma Neitge, 83, were Thursday, May 21, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Deer Park, with the Rev. Robert Weidmayer officiating.

Organist was Cindy Nelson.

Casketbearers were Mike Johnson, Tim Peterson, Chuck Ajer, Jim Peterson, Jerry Peterson and Dan Peterson.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, with the Williamson Funeral Home of Amery in charge.

Wilma Olivia Maria Neitge was born on May 26, 1914, in Barronett, the daughter of Melvin and Anna Maria Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

She attended the Balsam Lake school, graduating from eighth grade in 1928.

She moved to Deer Park where she met Ed Neitge and they were married on June 10, 1939, in Deer Park. Three children were born.

She lived independently until this past fall when she moved to Golden Age Manor, Amery, where she died on Monday, May 18, 1998.

Her parents; husband, Edward Sr.;brothers, Adrian and Clifford; sister, Lorraine Ajer; and one infant sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Edward Neitge Jr. of Casson, Minn.; daughters, Mary Ann Carlson and Carol Joy Van Hyfte of Amery; brothers, Jake Peterson of Deer Park and Fritz Peterson of Babbitt, Minn.; sisters, Ruby Tepfer and Viola Johnson of Clear Lake.

She also leaves six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
