Beverly Peterson

Beverly Jane Fouks was born in Cylon Township, St. Croix County, Wisconsin on August 18, 1922, the daughter of Walter and Elsie Fouks. She was baptized in the Cylon Methodist Church and confirmed her faith in February of 1949 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park. She attended schools in New Richmond, Deer Park, and Amery and the Minneapolis Business College at Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She was united in marriage to Adrian Earl Peterson at Deer Park on November 14, 1945. This union was blessed with the birth of three children: James, Kathy and Leann. The family moved to California and lived there for 17 years before returning to the Clear Lake community where they have resided for the past several years.

Beverly was a member of First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. She passed away at Apple River Valley Hospital at Amery, Wisconsin on Tuesday, February 22, 1983 at the age of 60. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Adrian who passed away January 19, 1974; her father, Walter Fouks and brother Wayne Fouks. Surviving are: her three children - James and Dawn Peterson of Hudson; Kathy and Dennis Eggert of Deer Park; and Leann and Steve Martinson of Amery; grandchildren - Chad and Anitra Eggert and Melisa Martinson; her mother, Elsie Fouks of Golden Age Manor at Amery and many more distant relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, February 25 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake with Rev. Robert N. Bingea officiating. Lori Jansen sang "How Great Thou Art" and "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You" accompanied by Esther Bingea. Casketbearers were: Wayne Clark, John Campion, Robert Briesemeister, Max DeCraciun, Michael Johnson and Jeff Tepfer. Interment will be later in the spring in the New Richmond Cemetery at New Richmond, Wisconsin. Ladies of First Lutheran L.C.W. served family and friends dinner following the services. Hammer Funeral Home of Clear Lake had charge of arrangements.
