RUSSELL P. SETTER
October 28, 1914 - March 10, 2008

Russell Paul Setter was born October 28, 1914, in Deer Park the son of Paul and Anita (Elden) Setter. He grew up in rural Deer Park, was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church. He graduated from New Richmond high school.

On June 4, 1949, he married Edith Nelson and three children were born. They operated a dairy farm in rural Deer Park for many years.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and sang in the choir, served as a 4-H leader and was a member of several dairy breeding associations. He served on the school board for Amery.

He died March 10, 2008, at the Golden Age Manor, Amery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, A. Lincoln, Prescott, Nels, Lloyd, Ray, Wallace and Vernon; sisters, Agnes, Mae and Margaret.

Survivors include his wife, Edith; son, Wayne (Anita) Setter; daughters, Phyllis Luhman and Lois (Dennis) Legatt; sister, Nettie Lundeen; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
