WILLIAM H. THOMPSON
September 4, 1902 - December 20, 1990

William H. Thompson of Amery and formerly of Deer Park, died Thursday, December 20, 1990 at the Willow Ridge Care Center in Amery at the age of 88.

He was born September 4, 1902 in Cylon Township, Wis., the son of Thomas and Thea (Amundson) Thompson. On October 24, 1933 he was united in marriage to Alice R. Kohlrusch at Black Brook, Wis. He worked as a farmer all of his life and served on the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors for 39 years, retiring in 1980.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harry and Carl; and a sister, Elvina Severson.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife Alice of Amery; two sons, Douglas (Sharon) and Roland (Janice), all of Deer Park; two daughters, Shirley (Duane) Nelson, Hudson, and Linda (James) Fouks, Deer Park; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Deer Park on Sunday, December 23, with the Rev. Patricia Zealley officiating. Music was provided by organist Mrs. Kermit Thompson and soloist Steve Heinecke.

Pallbearers were Bill Thompson, Richard Thompson, Michael Thompson, Mark Thompson, Scott Fouks, Rodney Fouks, Wayne Ailts and Thomas Sprester.

Spring burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Deer Park. Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond was in charge of arrangements.
