HARLAN EUGENE WARNER

WARNER SERVICES HELD MARCH 4 (1957)

HARLAN EUGENE WARNER, son of Phillip H. and Elvera Wahlberg Warner, was born September 7, 1920 in the town of Cylon. His entire life was spent in the Deer Park community. Harlan assisted his parents on the home farm until 1948 when he was employed by the Jabusch Implement company in Deer Park. Three years later, in November of 1951, he became the owner and operator of the Standard Service station in Deer Park, continuing to make his home with his parents. Harlan was killed in an automobile accident February 28 in the town of Stanton at the age of 33.

A family service at the home at 12 o'clock noon preceded furneral services for Harlan which were held at 2 o'clock March 4 in the Trinity Methodist church in Deer Park, Rev. Virgil Brown officiating. Mrs. Henry Anderson, organist, accompanied Mrs. Alex Johnson who sang "I Come to the Garden Alone," and "Beyond the Sunset." Interment was in Calvary cemetery, Deer Park, and pallbearers were John Hougdahl, Lloyd Hougdahl, Norman Tepfer, Melvin Peterson, Carl Solum, Edward Neitge, Kenneth Luhmann and Maynard Hanson. L. H. and John W. Beebe were in charge of arrangements.

Harlan is survived by his parents, a brother, Loren, and six sisters, Phyllis (Mrs. Al Humpal), Deer Park; Lorraine (Mrs. Marvin Frey), Somerset; Anna Mae (Mrs. William Stuntz), Deer Park; Evelyn (Mrs. Milton Hovde), Chester, Mont.; and Ruth and Arlene, at home. He was preceded in death by a brother, who died in infancy.

Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Frey, Somerset; Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hovde, Chester, Mont.; Loren Warner, Minneapolis; Mrs. Signe Johnson, Mrs. Evelyn Efaw, Spooner; Mrs. Carrie Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Warner and Eugene, Madison; Fred Warner, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Anderson, Superior; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stuntz, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Stuntz, William Ricci, Comstock; Mr. and Mrs. John Hougdahl, Colfax; Mr. and Mrs. John Benson, Mrs. Ahti Maki, St. Paul; Mrs. Clarence Peterson, Stillwater; and friends from Clear Lake, Cylon, Hudson, New Richmond, Forest, Star Prairie and Amery.
