CHARLES H. WITTSTOCK
December 10, 1871 - June 8, 1956

Charles H. Wittstock, a resident of the township of Stanton the past 15 years, died Friday, June 8, in Holy Family hospital in New Richmond.

Born in Germany December 10, 1871, he was a son of Frederich and Wilhelmina Kiekow Wittstock. He was married December 24, 1898 in Blue Earth, Minn., to Emma Arndt, who preceded him in death June 11, 1954. Mr. Wittstock had made his home in the township of Forest for many years before moving to Stanton township

Surviving him are 7 sons: Fred and Herman, Star Prairie; Henry and Ernest, New Richmond; George, Clear Lake; Herbert, St. Paul; and Carl, Burlington, Iowa; and 3 daughters, Bertha (Mrs. Rudolph Hahn), Madison; Clara (Mrs. Arthur Jabusch) and Mayta (Mrs. Warren Jorgenson), both of Deer Park. A brother, Albert Wittstock, Sauk Rapids, Minn., also survives.

There are 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Wittstock, with Rev. O.W.C. Boettcher officiating, were held at 2 o'clock Monday, June 11 in St. Paul's Immanuel Lutheran church, Star Prairie.

Interment was in Calvary cemetery, Deer Park. Pallbearers were Jerome Wittstock, Donavan Wittstock, Harold Hahn, Rodney Wittstock, William Wittstock, Richard Wittstock and Leonard Rolstad.

L.H. and John W. Beebe were in charge of arrangements.
