Hi all my friends in Deer Park, nice job on your web site with the pictures of Main Street. I am back in Kabul Afghanistan working on a project for the United Nations, I will be here until mid March. Threat level here is still pretty high and a fair ammount of activity from the bad guys. Cold here and they are predicting snow for Saturday. Wishing you a happy, safe and prosperous New Year.

My sister informed me of your website. I found alot of info about relatives buried at the Calvary cemetary. Thanks for all of the hard work put into this website. It has been most helpful. My son has enjoyed the reading program at the library during the summer there in Deer Park.

I was looking for Saint Bridget's Parish of Stanton Township and I was thrilled to find the memorial on your site. Great idea! I would like to be in contact with the person who holds the records of who is buried in the Cemetery. I am a descendant of 2 people whose remains I believe are buried there. I've been doing some research for the family history, and it's been a tough journey! I discovered that my great grandmother, Clara M Anderson was born in Deer Park in 1879. Her father was Mikkel Anderson and her mother's name was Eli. Siblings: John, Bertha, Anna, Eline (Mina?), Martin, Albertine. Mikkel came to the U.S. from the Hedemarken area of Norway (born in 1845, most likely came to the U.S. in 1872, naturalized in Polk Cty in 1878). i have no further info on the family! Does any of this sound familiar to anyone out there? Many thanks! Chad
