Missing man found dead in car

The body of a missing New Richmond man was found Friday near Deer Park.
Craig Bryan Johnson, 28, of New Richmond had been reported missing since May 1. He last made contact with family members around that time but had not been heard from since.
Family members were concerned for Johnson’s safety, because he was distraught over pending divorce proceedings.
Johnson’s final phone call was made within seven miles of the Deer Park cell phone tower, but it took officials almost two weeks to find Johnson’s car.
It was apparently parked in the driveway of an abandoned farm site.
Family members had continued to search the area for signs of the man, who has a wife and two children.
Johnson’s sister, Carin Johnson of Oakdale, Minn., said family members drove by the location where his body was found several times during their search.
