Two Deer Park men face potential charges of causing injury with
Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle after an incident Sunday east of Clear
Lake at the intersection of County Road A and 10 th Street . According to the
Polk County Sheriff's office, a 20-year-old of Deer Park was behind the wheel
of a pickup truck that was traveling at a high rate of speed as it rounded a
corner and went into the ditch, rolling the truck several times. There were
also two passengers in the bed of the pickup who were ejected. The Deer Park
man allegedly fled the scene with his brother, an 18-year-old. Sheriff Tim
Moore said the duo was later picked up by their father, away from the scene.
The two men in the back of the truck suffered unspecified injuries and were
taken to a local hospital. They were named Monday as 19-year-old William
Sabanjo of Richfield , and 22-year-old Andrew L. White of Amery. Both men and
possibly even their father - who picked them up after they fled - may be
facing several charges.
