She was born in New Richmond on Nov. 28, 1911 to Sofen and Louise (Thoreson) Olson. She married Lloyd S. Anderson on Oct. 21, 1931.
Beside her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, an infant son Delvan, a granddaughter Jill, five brothers, and four sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Denny (Alice Quilling) Anderson, Bud (Linda) Anderson all of New Richmond, Roger (Berta Decal) Anderson of Tamarack, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter (Myrtle) Olson of Anchorage, Ala., Harry (Kathy) Olson of Milltown; sister Viona Ward of Michigan City, Ind.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 27, 2001 at United Methodist Church in New Richmond, with Rev. Alan George officiating. Organist was Mary Barney and soloist was Mary Anderson. Casketbearers were Bridget Kling, Beth Kelly, Brian and Brett Anderson, Max (Brad) Turner and Erik Anderson. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
