Ruth Bader

Ruth Bader, 81, New Richmond, died May 11, 1988, at Holy Family Hospital.

She was born March 25, 1907, in Stokke, Norway, to Martin and Hanna (Anderson) Evenson.

She married Alfred H. Bader in Deer Park January 2, 1929 and was a homemaker in their home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred, who died September 23, 1962; two sons, Harold and Richard; and one granddaughter, Terry.

Survivors include three sons, Eldon (Shirley), Roberts, Ralph (Darlene), Woodville, and Warren (Shirley) , New Richmond; two daughters-in-law, Josephine Bader, Inver Grove Heights, and Ilene Carroll, Cornell; 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, LeMoyne, Deer Park; and three sisters, Alice Ness, Amery, Hannah Flanum, Amery, and Ida Lentz, New Richmond.

Services were May 14 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Orlan Zuberbier officiating. Music was provided by organist Mildred Jorgenson and Soloist Leonard Volkert.

Pallbearers were Sam Thompson, Ronald Bader, Joe Pellegrino, Jeff Bader, Brett Bader, and Bruce Bader. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Terpstra, Donald Webber, Ronald Hedman, Eric Bader, Joe Mertens and Jeff Doriott.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, with arrangements by Beebe Mortuary.
