Allen Warner Broberg of Glenwood City, Wisconsin died Tuesday, March 26 at his home in Glenwood City at the age of 61 years, 11 months.
Al was born April 26, 1934 to Knute and Ingrid (Swanson) Broberg in the Town of Lake, Menominee, Co, Michigan. He grew up in Michigan, and then went on to serve his country in the Army where he was stationed in Alaska for some time. On August 21, 1965 he was united in marriage to Mildred Fouks in Forest, WI. They have lived in Glenwood City for about the past 16 years. Al was the charter president of the Lions Club in Glenwood City, and he enjoyed fishing and watching sporting events.
Al was preceded in death by his father Knute, and one sister Gladys.
He is survived by his wife Mildred of Glenwood City, WI; one daughter Barbara of Glenwood City, WI; His mother Ingrid of Marinette, WI; One brother Donald and wife Verna of Appleton, WI; One sister Esther Grittenger of Milwaukee, WI; One brother-in-law Larry White of Bloomington, MN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 1996 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, with Rev. Ralph Thompson officiating. Music was provided by Marian Schmitz as the organist. Visitation was held from 12-4 p.m. Friday at the church. Military services were provided by the Curry-Ainsworth American Legion Post 168 in Glenwood City. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park, WI. Arrangements were by the Everts Funeral Home, Inc., Glenwood City.
