Louis Victor Burri, 86, of Deer Park died June 18, 1994 at the Apple River Hospital in Amery.
Louis was born March 16, 1908 in Lucerne, Switzerland to Melchior Burri and Rosina Louise Burgin Burri. He was baptized in the Catholic faith in Switzerland where he also attended school. In 1927 at age 19, he was sponsored to come to this country by Otto Badertscher of Rice Lake.
Louis came to Rice Lake and became a cheesemaker, a profession he practiced for many years. On March 16, 1934 in Rice Lake he married Bertha Rose Wuethrich.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bertha and two sisters.
He is survived by four sons, Ed of Deer Park, Bill of Eau Claire, Bob of New Richmond and Armin Duane of Lakeland; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held June 20, 1994, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Deer Park with Rev. Jay Gitchel officiating. Jane Johnson was organist.
Pallbearers were Brian Burri, Carrie Johnson, Joanna Jacobs, Bill Burri Jr., Vincent Burri, Jeffory Burri and Susan Pettis.
Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park. Arrangements by Williamson Funeral Home of Amery.
