Bill was born on August 19, 1936, to Louis and Bertha Burri in Deer Park, Wis. On February 14, 1955 he married Jo Ann Johnston in Deer Park. Bill served in Company B, 1st Brigade, 128th Infantry, 32nd Division of the Army National Guard of Wisconsin. Bill was involved in the dairy industry the majority of his working career, as a cheese maker working in cheese plants throughout west-central Wisconsin. After a serious accident, he worked as a field man for various dairy plants. He enjoyed driving truck and worked as a fuel oil and gas deliveryman, milk hauler and gravel truck operator. He always enjoyed reminiscing about working in construction in northern Wisconsin in the late 1950s and went back to his love of driving big trucks after his "official" retirement.

Bill loved his family and enjoyed boating, camping, tinkering in his garage and deer hunting. He was a country-western music fan and an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He looked forward to time with his boys in the Blue Hills every deer season.
