Earl Charles Clark
December 17, 1942 - January 31, 2002

Earl Charles Clark, 59, was born Dec. 17, 1942 in Milwaukee, the son of Harold and Esther Clark. He was raised on a dairy farm in Burnett County and graduated from Frederic High School. He attended Polk County Teachers College but decided not to pursue a career in teaching. He entered the field of law enforcement, working for Polk County and St. Croix County.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Anderson, and to this union three children were born. From 1969-1979 he was a member of the St. Croix Highway Patrol. He was active in his community serving on the Deer Park Fire Department, Amery School Board, East Immanuel Church Council and other community vol John's Hospital, Maplewood, on Thursday, Jan. 31.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Clark of Amery; son, David (Carrie) Clark of Amery; daughters, Michelle (Bob) Olson of Amery and Raquel (Eric) Mead of Duluth, Minn.; step children, Kim (LaVerna) Luke of St. Paul, Curt (Barb) Luke of Amery and Kevin (Jennie) Luke of Deer Park; eight grandchildren; brothers, Bob Clark of Idaho, Don (Sandy) Clark of Osceola and Ken Clark of Anoka, Minn.

On Nov. 16, 1990, he was married to LaDonna Luke in Hawaii. They have been living in rural Amery.

For relaxation he enjoyed fishing, gardening, antiquing, going to auctions, umpiring softball games and enjoying what northern Wisconsin had to offer. On November 16, 1990 he was married to LaDonna Luke in Hawaii. They have been living in rural Amery. During his final years he worked as a private investigator and was responsible for setting up the St. Croix County Crime Lab. The past few years Earl had struggled with health issues, putting up a good fight in the face of adversity. He died at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood Jan. 31, 2002.

His parents preceded him in death. Left to mourn are his wife, LaDonna Clark of Amery; son David (Carrie) Clark of Amery; daughters, Michelle (Bob) Olson of Amery and Raquel (Eric) Mead of Duluth, Minn.; step-children Kim (LaVerna) Luke of St. Paul, Curt (Barb) Luke of Amery, Kevin (Jennie) Luke of Deer Park; brothers Bob Clark of Idaho, Don (Sandy) Clark of Osceola, and Ken Clark of Anoka, Minn. He also leaves eight grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Amery with Rev. Paul Baardseth officiating. Soloist was Eric Aleckson. Organist was Helen Osborn. Casketbearers were Gary Brecht, James Dorsey, Robert Klanderman, Ronald Volkert, Michael Wakeling and Jack Schulte. Don Johnson was an honorary casketbearer. Interment was at the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park with the Williamson Funeral Home of Amery in charge of arrangements.

Services for Earl C. Clark, 59, rural Amery, were Monday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Amery, with the Rev. Paul Baardseth officiating.

Soloist was Eric Aleckson and organist, Helen Osborn.

Casketbearers were Gary Brecht, James Dorsey, Robert Klanderman, Ronald Volkert, Michael Wakeling and Jack Schulte. Don Johnson was an honorary bearer.

Interment was at the Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, with Williamson Funeral Home of Amery in charge.
