Donald Richard Cress of New Richmond died Tuesday, August 2, 2005.

He was born December 9, 1942 in Amery.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn (Jantz); children, Holly (Jon) Staples, Brenda (Dan) Albert, Richard (Jenny) Cress; brother, Howard (Janice) Cress; sister, Arliss (James) Cody; grandchildren, Zachary, Jason, Maggie, Shawna, Tyler and Dylan; also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marjorie (William) Cress; and sister, Catherine Gibson.

Don loved his grandchildren. He recently retired from Hudson Tooling in Hammond, and also enjoyed woodworking in his free time.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Immaculate Conception Church, New Richmond. Father James Brinkman officiated. Pallbearers were Rich Cress, Jimmy Jantz, Marv Loock, Dan Albert, John Staples and Al VanAmpoting. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Cullen Crea Funeral Home, New Richmond, with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation also one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment.

Cullen Crea Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Donald Richard Cress, 62, New Richmond, died Tuesday, August 2.

Mass of Christian burial was at 11 a. Saturday, Aug. 6 at Immaculate Conception Catholic church, New Richmond. Visitation was Friday at Cullen Crea Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Jantz); children, Holly (Jon) Staples, Brenda (Dan) Albert and Richard (Jenny) Cress; brother, Howard (Janice) Cress; sister, Arliss (James) Cody; six grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marjorie (William) Cress; and sister, Catherine Gibson.

He recently retired from Hudson Tooling in Hammond.
