April 19, 1951 - March 16, 2020Gary "Duke" Dukerschein, 68, of Glenwood, Wisconsin, passed away March 16, 2020 at Westfield's Hospital in New Richmond, WI. He was born April 19, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Gary was a graduate of Ladysmith High School class of 1969 and served in the National Guard for 14 years where he earned honors in Military Competitive Shooting. He went on to become a skilled self-employed carpenter and worked in manufacturing for Andersen Window Corp. Gary was an excellent cook, avid gardener, and an enthusiastic outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cutting wood. He will be lovingly remembered for his generous spirit in the community and his devotion to his family.
Gary is preceded by his parents Paul and Marge (Flatten) Kobs; Harold and Hilda (Matteissen) Dukerschein; and his brothers Paul, Leroy, Bob and Allen.
Military Honors will be provided by the New Richmond American Legion Post 80. Interment Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park, Wisconsin.
