CLARA A. FANSLER
October 23, 1895 - June 2, 1987

Clara Agnes Amanda Spaeth was born October 23, 1895 in rural Glenwood City, St. Croix County, Wis., the daughter of John and Clara Spaeth. Clara was united in marriage to Percy F. Fansler on December 11, 1916 at St. Paul, Minn.. They farmed in the Glenwood City, Deer Park and New Richmond areas until 1953 and then lived in Minneapolis, Minn. until 1979. She was a resident of the Golden Age Nursing Home in Amery from January 17, 1979, until she moved in with her twin-daughter, Dalores Haroldson, from June 1, 1980 until December 17, 1982. Clara then moved into the Amery Constant Care Home until her death.

Mrs. Fansler died at the Apple River Valley Memorial Hospital in Amery on June 2, 1987, having reached the age of 91 years, 7 months and 9 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Spaeth; her husband, Percy Fansler, who died April 29, 1979; one son, Douglas (Katherine) Fansler; one grandson, Ronnie John Pierson; three brothers, Armin, Paul, George; three sisters, Antonia Bowlin, Ernestine Butterworth and Josephine Ramlet.

She is survived by one son, Lorne (Verna) Fansler, Amery; twin daughters, Mrs. Neil (Lorraine) Pierson, Mora, Minn., Mrs. Lloyd (Dalores) Haroldson, Richfield, Minn.; one daughter-in-law, Katherine Fansler, Deer Park, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6 at the Deer Park Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Mary Salsbury officiating and interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Emerald, Wis. The organist was Mrs. Jane Johnson and the vocalist was Mrs. Phyllis Bendixen. The pallbearers were Duane Fansler, Donald Fansler, Craig Fansler, Robert Pierson, Keith Pierson and Bruce Haroldson.

Arrangements were by Everts Funeral Home, Inc., Glenwood City, Wis.
