PERCY F. FANSLER
December 1, 1885 - April 29, 1979

Percy Floyd Fansler was born December 1, 1885, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, the son of Bert and Minnie (Williams/Brown) Fansler.

Mr. Fansler was united in marriage to Clara Spaeth on December 11, 1916 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The couple farmed in the Glenwood City, Deer Park and New Richmond areas until 1953. From 1953 until 1979 they lived at 4014 39th Avenue South, Minnepolis, MN. From 1953 until 1961 he was employed at the Lakewood Cemetery. January 17, 1979 they moved to the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery, Wisconsin, because of health.

Mr. Fansler passed away Sunday, April 29, 1979 at the Apple River Valley Memorial Hospital in Amery, having reached the age of 83 years, 4 months and 28 days.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and one sister, Mrs. John (Ruth) Vershy.

Surviving him are his wife, Clara, Amery; two sons, Douglas (Katherine), Deer Park, and Lorne (Verna), Amery; twin daughters, Mrs. Neil (Lorraine) Pierson, Roseau, Minnesota and Mrs. Lloyd (Dalores) Haroldson, Richfield, Minnesota; one brother, Harold Fansler, Downing; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 1979 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Deer Park, the church which Mr. and Mrs. Fansler were members for 40 years. The Rev. James Rowlette officiated, with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery at Emerald, Wisconsin. The organist was Mrs. Frank Boyd and the vocalist was Mr. James Ramlet. The pallbearers were: Duane Fansler, Donald Fansler, Craig Fansler, Robert Pierson, Keith Piersono and Bruce Haroldson. The DeCamp-Everts Funeral Home in Glenwood City, Wis., was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
