VERNA (VERNIE) FANSLER

Mass of Christian Burial for Verna M. Fansler, 75, were Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Amery, with the Rev. John Drummy and Deacon Bud Heiser officiating.

Interment of cremains will be at the Amery Cemetery. Williamson Funeral Home in Amery assisted the family.

Verna Marie Fansler was born March 2, 1929, in Plum City, the daughter of Edward and Julia Poeschl. She moved to Amery with her parents when she was 13 years old and they ran a restaurant called the "Silver Grill".

She attended school in Amery, graduating from Amery high school.

On September 10, 1946, she was married to Lorne Fansler and two children were born.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and worked with their Altar Society.

Due to health issues, she was a resident of Willow Ridge, Amery, where she died Saturday, July 26, 2003.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Lorne; son, Craig Fansler; daughter, Deb Fansler Congdon; sisters, Ellie Larson and Jeanette Werlein; and three grandchildren.
