Elsie Fouks, 97, of Amery and formerly of Cylon, died Wednesday, January 9, 1991 at the Golden Age Manor in Amery.
She was born April 27, 1893 in Cylon Township, the daughter of Frank D. and Ethel (Boardman) Jones. On June 19, 1912 she was united in marriage to Walter Fouks at Cylon. She worked as a nurse for a private doctor's office.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter in 1930; one son, Wayne Fouks; one daughter, Beverley Peterson; and five brothers, Frank, Lee, Ward, Coit and Glen Jones.
Elsie is survived by three grandchildren: James (Dawn) Peterson, Hudson; Kathy (Dennis) Eggert, Deer Park; and Leann (Steve) Martinson, Amery; three great-grandchildren: Chad and Anitra Eggert and Melisa Martinson; and one sister, Mrs. Doris DeYoung of Mokelumne, Calif.
Funeral Services were held at the Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond on Friday, January 11, with the Rev. Patricia Zealley officiating. Spring interment will be in the New Richmond Cemetery, with the Beebe Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
