Floyd FouksServices for Floyd R. Fouks, 68, were at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Deer Park, on Thursday, November 21, 1991 with the Rev. Mark Broecker officiating.

Gloria Thompson was organist.

Casketbearers were Arnold Volkert, Jim Cody, Ed Hansen, Kermit Thompson, Dick Kamm and Leland Paulson.

Honorary casketbearers were Nole Cook, Al Franko, Bob Heebink, Danny Boe, Dick Kruschke and Scott Swanson.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, with Williamson Funeral Home, Amery, in charge.

Floyd Raymond Fouks was born in Deer Park on March 9, 1923, the son of Raymond William and Eda Julia (Olson) Fouks. He was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church, Deer Park, and graduated from Clear Lake high school in 1940.

He served in the Pacific theater in the US Army during World War II.

On June 30, 1949, at First Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, he married Lola Mae Stensvold and eight children were born.

He spent his entire lifetime in the Deer Park area farming. (SW 1/4, Section 1, Stanton Township, St. Croix County)

He was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Deer Park, and the American Legion Post #213.

He died at his home in Deer Park on Monday, November 18, 1991 following a three year struggle with prostate cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lola, of Deer Park; sons, Lowell Alan Fouks and William Stewart Fouks, both of Deer Park; daughters, Susan Kay (Kirk) Hauser of Coon Valley, WI, Jeanine Marie (Rolf) Carlson of New Richmond, Karen Elaine Fouks, Patricia Ann Fouks and Nancy Ellen (Tim) Hokkanen of Minneapolis and Betsy Lynn (Steve) Roubik of Plover.

He also leaves a sister, Mercedes Elaine (William Jacquet) Gribble of Pasadena, Calif., and three grandchildren.
