Leslie Clarence Fouks

Leslie Clarence Fouks was born on the family farm in Cylon Township of St. Croix County on October 10, 1906 the son of G. Henry and Johanna Fouks. He was baptized and confirmed in Deer Park. At Marine on the St. Croix, Mn. he was united in marriage to Minnie Christine Evenson on October 1, 1932. To this union two children were born. Leslie has made his home on the farm in Cylon Township all of his life. He died at the Bethesda Lugheran Hospital in St. Paul, Mn. on Monday evening December 6, 1976 at the age of 70 years, one month and 26 days. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Deer Park, Wi. at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one baby son, and three brothers, Ray, Stanley, and Irvin.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Minnie, one son, Arvid, of Deer Park, one daughter, Donna Kohn (Mrs. Allen) of Deer Park; one brother, Art Fouks, of Osceola; One sister, Gertrude Wilhelm, (Mrs. Ronald) of Deer Park, six grandchildren besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park, on Thursday, December 9, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Milton Haack officiating. The Floyd Fouks family sang the songs accompanied by Mrs. Kermit Thompson. Pallbearers were Arvid Fouks Jr., Howard Fouks, Floyd Fouks, Herbert Gust, Jr., Richard Anderson and Eugene Koehler.

Spring interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Deer Park.

Stenberg-Williamson Funeral Home of Amery had charge of arrangements.
