AMANDA HENRIETTA FRANK
August 11, 1905 - February 5, 1987

Amanda Henrietta was born August 11, 1905, in Alden Township, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Alvina (Mewes) Frank. She was baptized as an infant at Immanuel Lutheran Church and later confirmed her faith at St. John's Lutheran Church in Forest, Wisconsin.

Amanda lived most of her life in Forest Township and kept house for many years on the Ernest Frank Farm. She loved to sew and also enjoyed doing various types of craft work. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Emerald.

When her health required it, she entered Amery Constant Care where she had lived for the past several years. She passed away there suddenly near noon on Thursday, February 5, 1987, at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 24 days. She was preceded in death by: her parents; three sisters and one brother in infancy; brothers - William, Henry and Arthur and sister, Alma Knoll. Surviving are: one brother, Otto Frank of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; one sister, Mrs. Emma Richter of New Richmond; several nieces and nephews; more distant relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 9, at St. John's Lutheran Church at Forest with Rev. Mark Broeker officiating. Mrs. Gloria Thompson was organist. Casketbearers were: Orville Frank, Harvey Frank, Harold Richter, Abner Frank, Orville Knoll and Leo Thompson. Burial will be in the spring in the church cemetery. Ladies of the church served refreshments during fellowship following the services. Hammer Funeral Home of Clear Lake had charge of arrangements.
