Gertrude Alice Hanson was born on September 4, 1944 and unexpectedly passed away on September 25, 2012 at the age of 68.
Alice was born in New Richmond, WI, to Donald and Loretta (Ball) Rosenstiel. She grew up in the New Richmond area and graduated in 1962.
In June of 1962, Alice was united in marriage to Harold Hanson and to this union five children were born. Some years later the marriage was dissolved.
Alice lived the first part of her life in Wisconsin and in 1988 moved to Montana where she lived until her death. She had a great love for horses, and loved riding in the mountains.
A Memorial Service was held in Florence MT for her many friends. She was cremated and her remains have been brought back to Wisconsin for burial at Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
Alice was preceded in death by an infant son; parents, Donald and Loretta; and a brother, Robert.
Survivors include her children: daughters, Mary Luer and Amy (Brian) Corbett; sons, Gerry Hanson and Ed Hanson and his girlfriend, Cathy; grandchildren, Abigail, Matthew, Kevin, Jimmy, Morgan, Maggy and Seth; a brother, Mike Rosenstiel; and sister, Eva Hultberg;
A Memorial Service for family and friends in Wisconsin will be held October 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Deer Park at the Deer Park Community Center.
