Vera Amelia Hougdahl, age 83, of Deer Park, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at her home.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minn. on March 10, 1923 to Oscar and Emma (Schafer) Lommerud. Vera married Lloyd R. Hougdahl on June 23, 1946 in Superior, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd, and one son Robert. Vera is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Carol Hougdahl of Turtle Lake, and grandson Lance Hougdahl.
Visitation was held Friday at the Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond. Funeral services were Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Deer Park with Reverend Terri Koca officiating. Music was provided by Lois Burri and Carol Hougdahl accompanied by Joyce Petersen.
Honorary casketbearers were Waneta Olson, Dona Benson, Ann Stuntz, Mary Lou Spencer, Jan Thompson and Carol Weisenburger. Active casketbearers were Barb LaVigne, Jim Hougdahl, Dennis Hougdahl, Doug Hougdahl, Craig Matthys and Sandra Pinger. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
Arrangements were with the Beebe Mortuary.
