Erna Ruth Jacobsen, age 78, formerly of Deer Park passed away Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Clark County Health Care Center.
She was born on January 6, 1928. Erna married Roy H. Jacobsen on November 30, 1946 in Deer Park. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy.
Erna is survived by her son Dennis Jacobsen; three daughters, Linda (Stuart) Strong, Susan (Richard) Pribnow, and Bernice (Gary) Thompson; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Erna loved the outdoors and all of nature's beauty. She tended to her beautiful rose garden with loving care. Erna also enjoyed bird watching with her family, writing poetry and sketching. She was a very caring and gentle Christian person who always thought of others. Erna was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and friends dearly, who will miss her very much.
Visitation was held on Monday at the Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Deer Park with the Rev. Terri Koca officiating.
Vocalist was Kristine Latton accompanied by organist Joyce Peterson. Casketbearers were Erna's grandchildren; Todd, Scott, Tanya and Dustin Jacobsen, Benjamin, Daniel and Timothy Strong, Derek and Michael Pribnow and Matthew Thompson. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
