Minnie Pauline Johnson
1892-1988

Minnie Pauline Johnson died at the age of 95 years in the St Croix County Health Center, New Richmond, Wisconsin on January 12, 1988. She was born to Nora and Gust Aronson of Forest, Wisconsin, where she was raised. Gust, Minnie's brother, was born in Sweden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Gust, husband Alexander in 1967, her son-in-law Clifford Larson in 1965 and grandson-in-law William McNally in 1987. Minnie spent most of her life in the Deer Park area living briefly in the village. But most of her life was on the farm with Alex just north of Calvary Cemetery. Calvary Cemetery was originally part of their farm.

Minnie and Alex raised two daughters, Florence (Asp) of Rochester and Eleanor (Larson) of Deer Park.

She is survived by daughters Florence and Eleanor, son-in-law A. Lloyd Asp, grandchildren Joyce (Asp) Washechek (Steve), Lloyd W. Asp (Lynn), Dennis Larson (Aida), Gail (Larson) McNally, Rachel (Larson) O'Connell (William), and Carolyn (Larson) Anton (Ron). She has 7 great grandchildren.

Minnie was very active in the Methodist Church as long as her health permitted. She was widely known for her soprano voice and was active in the church choir. She along with her daughter Eleanor, sang duets at many funerals on request, often singing 'Rock of Ages'.

Minnie was also a Methodist Sunday School Superintendent for many years.
