Thomas W. Kahler, age 52, of Deer Park, Wis. died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Minn.
Tom was born September 3, 1954 to Walter and Eva (DeLage) Kahler. He graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1973. Tom married Janice Ziemer April 4, 1977 in Hudson, Wis. Tom worked construction along with his brothers. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. It was said many of his summers were spent camping and fishing from the boat.
Tom is preceded in death by his father Walter, brother James, sister Mary Lou Dikeman, two nephews and one niece.
Tom is survived by wife Janice Kahler of Deer Park, Wis., two daughters, and one son Andrea DeRosier and husband Greg of Deer Park, Wis.; Jessica Kahler of Deer Park, Wis.; and Dustin Kahler of Deer Park, Wis.; two granddaughters Tyler Jo and Halie Rose DeRosier. Mother Eva Kahler, mother and father-in-law Harold and Lenona Ziemer of New Richmond, Wis.; brothers and sisters Jerry Kahler and wife Nancy of Germantown, Tenn.; Sandy McNamara and husband Dennis of Idaho; Patricia Voeltz and husband Myron of Emerald, Wis.; Judy Hill and husband Duane of Glenwood City, Wis.; Richard Kahler and wife Susan of Emerald, Wis.; Charles Kahler and wife Patti of Emerald, Wis.; Janice Kahler and friend Merle Muthauf of Emerald, Wis.; and Larry Kahler and wife Ellie of Emerald, Wis.; brother-in-law Merwin Dikeman of Emerald, Wis.; and sister-in-law Gloria Kahler of Emerald, Wis. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at St. John's Catholic Church in Glenwood City, Wis. with Father William Murphy as celebrant. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park, Wis.
Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, Wis. on
Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services
Wednesday at the church.
