Nathan C. Kobernick

Services for Nathan C. Kobernick, 23, Deer Park, were Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001 at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Clear Lake. Pastor Daniel D.S. Ankerfelt officiated.

Marsha Hudson was soloist and Brian Wick, organist.

Casketbearers were Aaron, Adam, Jason, Vince and Barry Kobernick, Joshua and Chris Strege.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, with Scheuermann-Hammer Funeral Home, Clear Lake, assisting the family.

Nathan Carl Kobernick was born on June 28, 1977, at Holy Family Hospital, New Richmond.

Son of Benjamin and Gail (Strege) Kobernick, he was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran church, Clear Lake. He grew up in the Deer Park-Clear Lake area and graduated from Clear Lake high school in 1995.

During high school, he played baseball and received the "Kirby" award from his teammates. He was a member of 4-H and enjoyed playing softball.

The past five years, he had been employed at the Ideal Door Company, Baldwin.

He was a member of First Lutheran church in Clear Lake.

He died at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001.

He is survived by his parents, Ben and Gail Kobernick of Deer Park; three sisters, Amanda, Rachel and Kelly Kobernick of Deer Park; and grandmother, Lillian Strege of Luck.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Julia Kobernick and Milton Strege.

Nathan C. Kobernick, age 23, of Deer Park, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 3, 2001.

Nathan Carl Kobernick was born on June 28, 1977 at Holy Family Hospital in New Richmond, WI. The beloved son of Benjamin and Gail (Strege) Kobernick. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church of Clear Lake. Nathan grew up in the Deer Park-Clear Lake area and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1995. During high-school, Nathan played baseball for Clear Lake, and received the "Kirby" award from his teammates. He was a member of 4-H and enjoyed playing softball with family and friends. He looked forward to family get-togethers and celebrations. Spending time with his aunts, uncles and cousins was very important to him. The past five years, Nathan had been employed at the Ideal Door Company of Baldwin, WI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking and taxidermy. Nathan also enjoyed having quiet time, reading, watching movies, listening to music and taking walks around the family farm. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake.

Nathan will be deeply missed by his parents, Ben and Gail Kobernick of Deer Park, WI; his 3 sisters Amanda, Rachel and Kelly Kobernick of Deer Park, WI; and his grandmother Lillian Strege of Luck, WI; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Julia Kobernick and Milton Strege.

Funeral services for Nathan Kobernick were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2001 at First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. Pastor Daniel D. S. Ankerfelt officiated, organist was Brian Wick and vocalist was Marsha Hudson. Casketbearers were Aaron Kobernick, Adam Kobernick, Joshua Strege, Jason Kobernick, Vince Kobernick, Chris Strege and Barry Kobernick. Ladies of First Lutheran Church served lunch following services. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, WI. Scheuermann-Hammer Funeral Home of Clear Lake handled the arrangements.
