Margarete Kohn, 99, Amery, died Sunday, January 15, at the Willow Ridge Health Care Center, Amery.
Services were 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, at the United Methodist Church, Forest, with the Rev. Terri Koca officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Town of Emerald.
Arrangements were by the Anderson-Everts Funeral Home, Glenwood City.
Margarete E. C. Kohn was born was born February 19, 1906, in the Town of Glenwood to Albert and Clara (Krueger) Dettman. She attended Camp 14, a county elementary school. She was confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Forest.
She later married Walter Allen Kohn June 8, 1927 in the Town of Glenwood. They raised three children and farmed 120 acres near Forest. Their country farm never had the conveniences of running water or oil furnace indoors.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; son, Burley Walter; brothers, Harold, Clarence and Edward.
She is survived by a son, Allen (Donna) Kohn of Deer Park; daughter, Lorraine (Ortwin) Koser of Siring; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
