MYRTLE ELSIE LANGE
February 11, 1929 - July 26, 2006

Myrtle Lange, 77, Clear Lake, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, July 26.

Services were Monday, July 31, at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Terri Koca officiating.

Brian Wick provided the music. Pallbearers were Jon and Lisa Bowen, Cooper, Jared and Dan Lange and Heather Wirtz.

Interment was at Clear Lake Cemetery with Scheuermann-Hammer Funeral Home assisting the family.

Myrtle Elsie Lange was born February 11, 1929, on her family's farm in Deer Park the daughter of Adolf and Elsie (Knoll) Zellmer. She grew up in Deer Park where she attended elementary school and graduated from Clear Lake high school in 1947. After graduating she worked as a telephone operator in Deer Park.

She was married to Henry F. Lange on June 11, 1955, and they operated the family dairy farm in Deer Park. After a few years of farming, they moved to Clear Lake and raised three sons.

In addition to taking care of her family, she worked at Johnson Garment in Clear Lake until she retired at 65.

She was a member of the Clear Lake First Lutheran Church and enjoyed helping the Ladies Aid with the Fall Smorgasbord.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lange; parents, Adolf and Elsie Zellmer; and sister, Mabel Evenson.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Sara) Lange of Clear Lake, Larry (Ann) Lange of Clayton and James (Kathy) Lange of Amery; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
