Nila Vivadale Lindberg, age 74 of New Richmond, died on Monday, February 9, 2009 surrounded by her loving family at the Christian Community Home in Hudson, Wis. after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Nila was born on August 9, 1934, the daughter of Harvey and Nina Hanson in Deer Park, Wis. She graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 1952. On September 6, 1952 she married Charles A. Lindberg at the First Lutheran Church in New Richmond. Nila's family was the most important thing in her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Her beautiful smile will be missed by many.
Nila's family would like to thank the staff of Comforts of Home in Hudson and the Christian Community Home for their compassionate care during Nila's illness.
Nila was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Nina Hanson; husband, Charles A. Lindberg; and brother-in-law, Marvin R. Green.
She is survived by sons, Brian (Susan) Lindberg of Star Prairie and Blake (Gwen) Lindberg of Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughters, Twila (Larry Lengyel) Lindberg, Tamara (Steven) Rabb and Treston (Kevin) Arndt; grandchildren, Jenna Lindberg, Joseph Lindberg, Breauanna (Anthony Jennings) Hanson, Jebadiah (Nikki Reder) Hanson, Zebulun Hanson and Gabrielle Rabb; great-granddaughters, Paige Hanson and soon to be born Nila Elizabeth Jennings; brother, Arlan (Judy) Hanson of Amery; sisters, Carole Green of Red Wing, Minn. and Karen (Donavan) Kamm of Baldwin; family friend, Jim E.; and many more relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 11 a.m. at West Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation was on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond and for one hour before the service at the church. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park. Pallbearers were Jenna Lindberg, Joseph Lindberg, Breauanna Hanson, Jebadiah Hanson, Zebulun Hanson and Gabrielle Rabb.
Arrangements were with the Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
