CARL C. LORENTZEN
August 15, 1909 - November 18, 1990

Carl C. Lorentzen, 81, formerly of Deer Park, Wisconsin, died Sunday, November 18, 1990 in Lansing, Michigan, where he had been hospitalized since October. He was born August 15, 1909 in Deer Park and attended high school in St. Cloud. In 1931 he received a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota. He and Ruth Thompson also of Deer Park, married in 1938. They moved to the Detroit area where he worked at the Detroit Tank Arsenal. In 1977 they moved to Weidman, Michigan, after his retirement. He was a member of the Weidman United Methodist Church and active in senior citizens' organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lorentzen of Weidman, his son, Eric Lorentzen of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and his daughter and grandson, Kay and Carl Mueller of Rumson, New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jane; by his father and mother, Knud and Emma Lorentzen; and by his brother, Leo Lorentzen, all of Deer Park.

A memorial service was held on November 21 at the Weidman United Methodist Church. Burial of the ashes is planned for Memorial Day 1991, in Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Weidman United Methodist Church, Weidman, Mich.
