Edna G. (Ellingson) McFetridge of Star Prairie passed away on October 27, 1999 at the United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. She was 82 years old.
Edna was born in Clear Lake on January 13, 1917 to Hans and Sophia (Logan) Ellingson. She married James Joseph McFetridge on October 12, 1940 in Grand Rapids, Minn.
Edna lived in Star Prairie ever since her marriage to James. She was a wonderful housewife and helped operate Jim's Bait Shop for many years. Edna enjoyed spending hours in her flower gardens, making jelly and baking cookies with her grandchildren. She was very active in the Bethany Lutheran Church and the Woman's Sewing Circle. Edna also contributed to over a dozen charities on a regular basis.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; four brothers, Carl, Helmer, Adolf and Curtis; and two sisters, Ada and Stella.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna McLean of Star Prairie and Sandra (Tom) Mondor of New Richmond; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on October 29th at Beebe Mortuary in New Richmond. Funeral services were on October 30, 1999 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Star Prairie, with Pastor Carla Grabanski officiating. Organist was Jeanine Carlson and soloist was Andre Johnson. Casketbearers were Gary Motto, Mark and David McLean, Shannon Long, Kent Bottolfson, Krissy, Jenny and T.J. Mondor. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park. Arrangements were made by Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
