Helen T. Olson, a resident of Deer Park, died June 23, 1983 at age 73 in the Apple River Valley Memorial Hospital in Amery.
She was born in Deer Park on December 25, 1909 to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hanson. On September 2, 1931 she married Sheldon Olson in Deer Park and to this union 10 children were born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon, and her parents; her brothers, Morris, Leo, and Harry and one sister, Mabel.
Survivors include her sons, Richard of Minneapolis, Royal of Deer Park, Darryl of Deer Park, Larry of Amery, Al of Amery, and David of Zimmerman, Minn.; her daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Beverly) Owen of Buena Park, Calif.; Mrs. Chuck (Barbara) Polfus of New Richmond, Mrs. David (Liz) Jahnke of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Jim (Darlene) Hemauer of Deer Park; 27 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were June 27, 1983 at the United Methodist Church in Deer Park with Rev. Michael Morning officiating. Lou Williamson, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Frank, the organist, with musical selections.
Casketbearers were her grandsons.
Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park with the Williamson Funeral Home of Amery in charge of the arrangements.
