MABEL G. PETERSON
February 19, 1901 - May 18, 1991

Services for Mabel Peterson, 90, were Tuesday, May 21, at the East Immanuel Lutheran church with the Revs. Loren and Linda Schumacher officiating. Jean Peikert sang and Jane Johnson was the organist.

Casketbearers were grandchildren, Jacquelyn Peterson, Kerry Peterson, Charles Peterson, David Peterson, Roger Peterson, Marya Hultgren, DeeAnn Berger, Wayne Peterson, Daniel Peterson, Bryce Peterson, Michele Lehmann, Denise Sinclear, Mary Sinclear, and Anne Sinclear.

Interment was in the East Immanuel Lutheran cemetery with the Williamson Funeral Home of Amery in charge.

Mabel Geneva Peterson was born in the town of Black Brook, Polk county, on February 19, 1901, the daughter of Hans and Anna Amundson. She was baptized at East Immanuel Lutheran church and confirmed there on April 1, 1918.

On November 5, 1927, in Stillwater, she was married to John Harris Peterson and four children were born.

She spent her entire lifetime in the Deer Park area as a homemaker, raising her children.

She was treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary in Deer Park for over 40 years, was an active member of East Immanuel Church Women, a long-time member at East Immanuel and taught Sunday School for many years.

Failing health required her to enter Willow Ridge where she died on Saturday, May 18.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, Wayne; and brothers, Carl and Harold.

Survivors include a son, John M. Peterson; daughters, Marian (George) Sinclear of New Richmond, and Mabel (Neil) Mattson of Forest Lake, Minn.; special friend, Judy Mueller of Amery; brother, Allen Amundson of Dassel, Minn.; sisters, Stella Brosaker of Lakeville, Minn., Vivian Ernhart of Minneapolis, and Evelyn Ayers of Barron; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
